He graduated in Biology from the University of Granada and did his Ph.D. in Animal Reproduction at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He obtained several work contracts and fellowships from the Czech University of Life Sciences, Spanish National Research Council, University of Castilla-La Mancha, University of Lancaster, and University of Granada. Before his doctorate, he had been working in several projects mainly related with conservation biology of terrestrial, aquatic, and marine arthropods. His doctoral thesis focused on assisted reproductive technologies in red deer. Currently, he is the coordinator of the CIGA Project (2014-16) “Honest signalling across sexes: links between hierarchical position, sperm quality and horn development in common elands”, which involves researchers and students from the Faculty of Tropical Agrisciences and the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources (Czech University of Life Sciences). |
